A couple weekends back, we took a trip down to Blanket Bay, in the Cape Otway National Park. The weather was mixed, as it is in the winter, with everything from bright sun to hail on Saturday.
Sunday was really nice, and there was a little walk down the coast.
On the way home we saw a handful of whales there were really close to the shore. Not a great shot, but they were splashing about and we got lots of tail and fin action.
Someone on the beach said that they would be busy trying to knock barnacles off on the rocks. I'd believe it.
