We've had some fog this week. Those planes are only about 100m away.

Aussie Choppers

Two days before I left for the States, Shannon and I were out and about on the bikes, and had made a stop at the Yarra River. We're sitting there, eating a baguette and a lump of double brie, like you do, when this pesky chopper landed right next to us.

He proceeded to pick up some (presumably) rich people, take them on a 20 minute ride, then bring them home. I bet it was awesome.

They Are Everywhere!

Friday night, while obtaining a substandard Tenderloin burrito (Mission rules), some guy in the taqueria was from Melbourne.

The world is getting smaller.

Australian Invasion

First, Coopers. Then, this morning, I see an ad on TV that Underbelly is going to be airing in the US on some satellite channel (101 network?)

What's going on here?

Australia in California

First day in California for work. I thought I could go a whole day without laughing about Australia, but no.

In a specialty wine and beer shop tonight, I saw Coopers beer, both red and yellow. This is significant because 1) I've never seen it in the US and 2) a 12oz Coopers in Australia goes for about $3.25, and they were on sale here for $1.79.

What the hell, Aussie taxes?

I did manage to get a 750 of Arrogant Bastard for $4.30. So in that regard, it's good to be back.
