A journal of an American expatriate who was living in Melbourne, Australia working remotely for a US company but is now living and working in Auckland, New Zealand. Anything is fair game - traveling, current events, sport, and anything else that suits me.

Caviar
Meant to post this ages ago. This left me scratching my head in Cary, NC. And not in a good way.
Once in Auckland, Shannon and I had Thai food with "beef balls." We had assumed it would be balls of beef but it seems that it was actually ... well more like what you suggested.
WoW. ok then. Some think they are quite tasty. About 10miles up the road there is a "Nutty Brunch" around the 4th of July. Yeah. It's exactly what it says. They have nearly 500 folks show too. You should try to make it this year ;-)
I am pretty sure in Cleveland County it's bulls balls (or Mountain Oysters). FYI.

ReplyDeleteActually wasn't so bad.

ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of reasons to visit Oregon. The local nut plate isn't one of them.
